broncolor light training
broncolor Workshops in the era of digital photography: the significance of
creative light control is still indisputable to work precisely is more important
than ever.
For this reason broncolor offers 3 different courses: The 2-day intensive-
seminar, the 4-day Creative Workshop and the 2-day Food-Workshop. These are
carried out in various languages in the professionally equipped broncolor studio
(130 m2, 4 working areas) in Allschwil, Switzerland. Classical problems such as
stainless steel and glass are explained as well as modern photo techniques.
Controllable flash duration and colour temperature as well as various filter
techniques are applied. The emphasis is on still-life photography.
broncolor Creative Workshop (4 days)
The goal of this course is to impart new possibilities to the photographers, to
enable a faster and better reaction to the challenges of everyday life.
The broncolor Creative Workshop is without doubt something exceptional.
During the course of 4 days, demanding shots are worked out, demonstrated,
compared and explained. There is of course plenty of scope available for
participating photographers to present their photographic wishes.
The practical work comes to the fore and is carried out under the guidance of an
experienced photographer in small groups of 2 to 4 participants and thoroughly
discussed afterwards. In this way everyone can take his "own" shots
which the other teams can profit from "live".
Lighting "how to do it" (2 days)
Glass, electronic equipment, cloth, idyllic still-lifes and special effects such
as running water and multiple exposures represent a few of the more difficult
aspects of commercial photography
This intensive course run under the motto lighting "how to do it" is a
2-day course for a maximum of 8 participants and usually takes place
Thursday-Friday.
In contrast to the Creative Workshop, demonstrations form the main part of the
2-day intensive-seminar. Of course, practical work and handling of individual
problems in detail are possible with the consent of all the participants. The
exchange of participants' experiences is also of importance in this intensive
course.
Food-Workshop (2 days)
The aim of this course is to enable to distinguish between the various light
shapers and basic illumination for food arrangements. Also to build up the
element of emotional background lighting between the extremes cold/warm,
hard/soft, or sharp/blurred. Further subjects are close-up, photo-styling of raw
and cooked food as well as tricks to photograph cold drinks and ice.
The diverse and demanding shots are worked out, in small groups, under the
guidance of experienced photographers. The food-styling for practical work is
arranged by a professional cook who is also responsible for the culinary
delights of the participants.
