In 1992 we had this large Yew tree in our garden. A home for pipistrelles and other flighty beasts. However we wanted to extend the house and the tree was in the way. So we decided to preserve it by relocating it elsewhere in the garden.

This picture was taken AFTER the main crown was reduced for the move. Originally the tree was about twice the size.

Several contractors looked at the move project and turned it down.

A tree surgeon from Chirk called Mike Cowan and our local crane-for-hire Thompson agreed to make the move.
