Your email wins as the most amusing this year. Rich now thinks you´re
completely neurotic.

Okay, basically whatever you want to do, you can, we`ve planned nothing.
You need to discuss it with mum in terms of what the two of you fancy.

La Paz will take you at least a couple of days - lots of people and
markets and things. You can´t shoot inside churches (but can you
anywhere). I`d recommend your lens that looks sideways (the locals
don´t like being photo`d without recompense of $1 and they smile
inanely. Some of the women have SUCH wrinkly faces too).

The jungle is a definite option (you can do real jungle tours or pampas
trips. The jungle tours I know you can do in relative comfort, the
pampas I´m not so sure about how posh they can be, but you´re supposed
to see a lot more animals (caymen, otters, birdies and butterflies
mainly). Its a 25 quid flight from La Paz to the jungle area where all
the trips fly out of.

Lake Titicaca we´ve done already and in all honesty I would say there
wouldn´t be much to interest you there. If you do want to see ruins
there´s a place called tiwinacu (or summat like that) but that´s also a
short trip from La Paz.

Going further south there´s the colonial towns which are famous for
being pretty in themselves (Potosi, Sucre, Cochabamba). Down that way
there`s also the silver mines which are quite funky and the Salar de
Uyuni (salt pans and stuff). To get down that way you can either take a
coach (air conditioned about 10 hours to the most southerly bit), or fly
for about 30 quid, or rent a car I´m sure but we haven´t investigated
that and can´t really before you get here.

On the car rental front I am very sure that you will be able to afford
a comfortable car for your entire trip. If you´d like us to check that
out for you we can and pick you up with it at the airport.

On the rest at the end and at the beginning of your trip front, there
are two places - Coroico and Sorata. Both are about 4 hours from La Paz
and about 1200m lower. They`re both famous for scenery which is
mountainous jungley type stuff or volcanic mountain peaks. I suggest we
take you to one at the beginning and one at the end.

In the middle we think you should do a pampas trip and get to Salar de
Uyuni via a colonial town or two.

If you don´t want to hire a car rest assured that you can always buy out
extra seats on public transport.

Can`t tell you anymore about photo restrictions because we never take
any photos.

Will book you a room with a view for your first night 4 hours out of la
Paz (NB this contradicts mummy´s request so tell me if it´s wrong).

Sorry to be so long in replying we´ve been lost in the Lost City
(Carribean Colombia) Now in Cartagena.
