Well we havenīt written since Malawi - v. slack sorry.

What have we done since then....

ZIMBABWE
- hiking in the Eastern Highlands (Chimanimani) - swimming under
waterfalls, sleeping in caves
- horseriding in Shagse Game Reserve - Richīs first time on a horse, not
a pretty sight
- Ate our first steak in Africa (at least the first one that tasted like
a steak!

ZAMBIA
- spent a week sick in bed (v. dull, v. hot)
- swam in the rock pool on the top of Victoria Falls (got to see it to
believe it, itīs less than a metre away from the edge)

NAMIBIA
- Met up with (tamaraīs) mummy (sheīs a game old bird)
- lots of game viewing (8 rhino at one time, no cats, R got v. bored of
mummy and I watching birds)
- sand dunes (stunning - v.red sand, v. black shadows - pictures we took
look crap)
- sand boarding - head first - (mummy is king of the dunes - the fastest
and most stylie by miles)
- seal colony (it was pupping season - afterbirths and dead pups
everywhere, it stank, why we went I donīt know)

BOTSWANA
- hired a flash 4x4 - it steered like a tank and wouldnīt go over 100kph
(t tried to crash it into trees, flood it in fords, sink it in sand)
- lots of game viewing again (about 2 million elephants, cats at last)
- great boat trip in Okavango Delta (great because free)
- picked up a hitch hiker (not a bad chap took him 800km)

SOUTH AFRICA
- Went up table mountain (by cable car or course)
- Walked cape to cape (Point to Good Hope - about 500m but it sounds
impressive)
- Went on a wine tour (thinly disguised piss up) - Hi Meno
- Drank a few beers (seems to be whatīs done in RSA- personally I blame
Mike)
- Did the Garden Route - East Coast etc (boring boring boring - itīs
like Torquay with sun - except it rained when we went)
- black water tubing(the most undignified sport - you stick your bum in
a tyre tube and float down river getting your bum stuck on rocks the
whole way)
- picked up 3 hitchers (Big mistake, took them 20km before figuring out
how to ditch em)
- Zululand engagement party, wedding, witchdoctor ceremony (lots of bare
breasted women, R loved it)

And thatīs us out of Africa. Currently in Buenos Aires planning South
America. Going to see a Bocca Juniors game tomorrow, last of the
season. Itīs the tango festival here at the moment, good timing.

Donīt know what email access will be like from out here, but if weīre
not in touch before, Happy Christmas everyone. Good luck and hope to
see you in 1999.
